What’s New in Release 3.6
Polycom announces the 3.6 release of the Polycom RealPresence Desktop software. This release includes bug fixes and feature enhancements.
- Free Access to Polycom® People+Content™ IP and SmartPairing inStandalone Mode
In standalone mode, you can now use the Polycom® People+Content™ IP content sharing technology and
SmartPairing feature with or without a valid license. -
Audio Enhancements
Audio experience is enhanced by adopting audio codecs per call bit rates. To improve calls that connect with low bit rates, RealPresence Desktop now supports low bit rate Polycom® Siren™ Lost Packet Recovery technologies, including Polycom® Siren™ 32 and Polycom® Siren™ 24. This enables the RealPresence Desktop application to accept incoming Siren Lost Packet Recovery streams of any bit rate.
-
Video Enhancements
Outgoing H.264 video is enhanced to offer better video experience for high-resolution video streams in low bit rate environments, such as 720p video streams.
