We are proud to announce new Poly Studio Series video bars and remote room control with Poly Connect. Read more about the solutions!

Hi,

One of our customers are encountering problems with the Poly X series codecs together with Barco Clickshare CX-30.

The solution is designed to use Poly as a Zoom Room device and device mode is enabled on the Poly and only using the Clickshare CX-30 as a presenting source with the possibility to use the speakers+camera wirelessly. There is also a Poly TC8 for control.

The "only cable" between the Poly and Clickshare are a USB-C to USB-A cable and a content HDMI cable out from Clickshare in to the Poly codec, no other HDMI or USB cables between the the units and the table.

The problem the customer are encountering is that the IT department have set the Poly systems on a scheduled reboot every saturday, so on the mondays the next week they see that the Poly is stuck at presenting mode with the presenting guide picture on screen with wrong resolution, cropping the image. It seems like the Poly haven't even booted up correctly. To resolve this problem they either have to unplug the USB cable from the Clickshare or reboot it to force a regular boot.

As soon this have been done the Poly will start up normally, seeing the Poly logo first and then Zoom Room logo.

After reconnecting the USB cable between the Poly and Clickshare, everything works normally.

They have tried to disable autoshare via the Poly interface and Zoom Rooms, the Clickshare is set on Eco Mode to enter sleep after 5 min but this sandly doesn't solve the issue.

Anyone have any ideas?

Best regards,

TobiOne
