Hello-  We have a number of Studio E60 cameras that are connected to a Poly G7500, but via a USB camera switch as part of a larger integrated AV system.   We have at least one E60 camera, possibly (2) that continuously go into sleep mode, and will only wake up with a hard reboot of the camera itself.  Is there a way to keep these cameras from going into standby/sleep mode?  Both the G7500 and the cameras are currently at the latest firmware versions (as of mid-April 2026).

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Hello @s_vincent ,

Welcome to the HP Poly community.

This is just a Peer-to-peer community forum and not HP Support. We are all just Volunteers.

Your post does not include the exact Software Version for the G7500, the Poly Studio E60 or what provider mode is being used.

We also have no idea if this is connected directly via any officially supported device or if there is any USB switcher or extender being used.

https://docs.poly.com/bundle/polyvideoos-crg-current/page/g7500-supported-peripherals.html

The above documents all officially supported and tested Peripherals that can be used with a Poly G7500

Hi Steffen-

Understood and I hoped that someone in the community has come across this issue in the past.

Here are further details:

Provider mode: Poly video mode

Cables from camera to equipment rack: 20m USB 3.0

G7500 firmware at 4.6.1

E60 firmware at 1.1.4.9

Both cameras running to an Inogeni CAM230 USB camera switch then to G7500

The big question I'm looking for if there is a way, at the camera level, to keep the E60s from going into standby mode.

Thanks!

Hello @s_vincent ,

I would expect the Poly G7500 to run PolyOS 4.6.2 and the Studio E60 to run 1.1.5.8

In addition, a "normal" 20m USB cable is outside of the USB spec. Just because someone sells it physical restrictions are still in place.

Any length like this would require an INOGENI 4K2USB3. I am also unsure if the Inogeni CAM230 USB camera switch is not listed as tested.

If no other volunteers reply, I suggest you contact our Support organization in your region. Details are in my Signature.
