We have recently run into issues with our Poly X50 and X30 Teams Rooms systems where the TC8 controllers keep disconnecting from the bar. We get a circle in the middle that says "Trying to Connect" and it never does. 

 

We have updated all the latest firmware of the bar and TC8.

Troubleshooting;
Reset TC8 - Issue keeps happening
Reset Bar - Issue keeps happening
Reset both Bar and TC8 - Issue keeps happening
Reset both Bar and TC8. Also deleted both in Teams Admin - Issue keeps happening
Reset both Bar and TC8, deleted both in Teams Admin and set daily reboot in Poly Admin of each device. 
 
What have we missed?

Is this a dark screen Microsoft Teams screen or a white Poly OS screen?

It is a dark screen with the signed in account name in the upper right-hand corner and a blue circle in the middle. It eventually fails and says failed to connect.

Hello @Dan7500 ,

 

Anything around Microsoft Teams pairing should be consulted with our Partner Microsoft. Microsoft Pairs over the internet, so there could be firewall issues etc.

 

Or is this using a Proxy?

We are not using a proxy and this is a dedicated VLAN for our Teams Rooms devices with no changes to the firewall. 

 

I can update that after the weekend, the bars have seemed to stabilize.  All TC8s are connected and have stayed that way for a couple of days now. Also, I notice that MS released an update to the Authenticator App for the devices and I am slowly getting them updated (a couple at a time to ensure no new issues).  

 

The reason why I asked this community is because in the firmware release notes for both 4.6.0 and 4.6.1 (which our Teams Admin shows 4.6.0 for these devices) Known Issues - Device management - PVENG-7684 - On a Poly Studio X video bar in Teams mode with a connected Poly TC8 touch controller, the system may show as offline in Teams admin center and unpair with the controller.

 

I had already applied the workaround, so I was seeing if anyone else had seen this too.  Not sure if that was a MS issue being worked on or a Poly issue since it was documented in the Poly release notes.
