I was given a Polycom VSX8000 from my school as part of a pile of stuff to mess with. I unfortunately messed up and forgot to save the product key off the unit before I erased it. It's a long shot but is there any way to get the product key so I can reload the software? The serial number off the unit is 820539063363B2

Jun 22,2014 Question: How can I activate / check / verify / recover my license or upgrade key?
Answer: Since the move from Polycom / Poly to HP Support the licensing portal is no longer accessible to end customers. Please open a Support Ticket https://www.hp.com/contacthp/ or contact us at:
USA 800-985-9815
other global locations https://www.poly.com/gb/en/company/contact/office-locations
Once you receive the Serial Number follow the below
A text file with the name sw_keys.txt should be created. The format should be:
U <Tabulator>Serial<Tabulator>Key
An example is attached to this FAQ >here<

I went ahead and contacted support and was told there was nothing they could do. Since the VSX 8000 is EOL, they apparently have no documents or anything to help with my request. Is there there something else that would be able to get this key?

You can try K2B1-E872-DA40-0000-00E9 (full feature set , not sure it will work on 8K model) BUT , If that fails try KA2D-10A7-2B20-0000-0081 (8 way MP license)

So I've tried version 8.7.1 and 8.5 and when I get to the key screen, no matter what key I enter, I never get the Next button to enable, it just sits there. If I build a sw_key.txt based on the example, I get Key Code not found: Please provide a valid file with your system serial number.

I was reading some documentation on the software update procedure and found the issue:
Software installation license: U1000-0000-0000-0000-0000
System option license: K1000-0000-0000-0000-0000
I'm needing the software installation license starting with the U prefix. That's why the keys aren't working, I'm trying to put a System Option key in the Software Installation option.
So I guess I need the Software installation license for my serial number.
