I am trying to use device mode, or BYOD mode, from the Zoom application on our x70, like we do on our x30s and x50s. However, the option is not there. Also, any computer that we attach to the x70 via USB, does not recognize the X70. This is not a problem on the x30 and x50. Is this a hardware or software limitation of the X70? Or do I have a bad unit?

Hello @MediumRoast ,

Welcome back to the Poly Community.

Both the communities Must Read First or Read 1st and if available the FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow up post should contain.

This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.

Unfortunately, your post fell a bit short of the above-explained requirements and we kindly ask you, therefore, to ensure to read these sections and ensure a reply (not Edit!) provides as much detail as possible

Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the FAQs listed in my signature for your convenience.

As an example and as outlined in the 3.12 release notes, Device mode for X70 is only a 3.12 release or later feature.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier

Hi Steffen,

Sorry to run afoul of the forum rules. I have since update to 3.12 and now have device mode.

Thanks!

Hello @MediumRoast

no rules have been violated. It is just a reminder of what we would expect.
