Hello @jam___ ,

Welcome to the HP Poly community.

The Poly Lens Desktop software is not there to be used with a Poly Studio X.

You can use the Device Mode option with any Application like Microsoft Teams, Zoom or even the built in Camera App.

The Poly Lens Desktop software is there to be utilized with HP Poly USB Video Bars like the Poly Studio V32 or others. It can also be used with various Poly Headsets. It can connect to Poly Lens Cloud to keep an estate overview and maintain them remotely with Software Updates or settings.

This >here< lists the devices.

Best Regards

Hi Steffen, I have looked for every possible way to get the camera working and have come up with nothing. I thought maybe the error inside the Poly lens app could lead to a solution, but apparently not. Logging into the web GUI doesnt allow me to enable the camera in USB mode. however, the camera does work in VC mode. A factory reset results in the same outcome. maybe a firmware update or rollback is required? any ideas on a fix?

Hello @jam___ ,

From your attached photo, we can see the device is running PolyOS 4.5.2

Via the Web UI, under Settings, you have an option called Provider, where you can change the mode to Device Mode. Or connecting a Mouse, if you have not paired with a TC8 or TC10, clicking from the right-hand side of the screen should allow you to pull out a menu fir device mode too,

If no other volunteers reply, I suggest you contact our Support organization in your region. Details are in my Signature.

Best Regards

Hi Steffen

thanks for your help. the tip of going through the menu with a mouse worked. It seems the only way to access device mode on the x30 is by manually selecting it each time with the mouse, I'm sure, paired with a touch screen, you could do the same thing. cheers
