Hi ap1992,
Please identify your notebook with the product name. An example of a complete identification is the identification of my dv7 as in my signature.. cq62 is just the series so it is not anaccurate enough identification. I also need to know which processor is installed in your notebook and whether it has the onboard or discrete graphics.
Best regards,
erico

Sorry you got it wrong, I dont want under 100$ upgrade. I was mentioning my buget of graphics card but not Moderboard upgrade.
Any way, I would like to know upgrading Graphics card and Moderboard both. Although would like to use existing RAM and Processor.
Anyidea What (series of) moderboard and (series of) Graphics card to go for so that I can be accomodated in the same DV6000 Notebook.
So I look for where I can get those components.

Even an graphics upgrade for < $100.00 is not going to happen unless you somehow get an unbelievably fantastic deal somewhere.
I don't think that you understand that upgrading a notebook system board and/or graphics unless you have a large budget is not an inexpensive prospect. That is why when you purchase a notebook it pays to take your time and choose wisely to try to futureproof yourself at least for a couple of years.

Hello, i want to upgrate my CPU and Ram on my laptop.
HP pavilion dv6500 (dv6617en), motherboard Quanta 30D2 79.2E, bios hp f.58
1) Current ram is 2048-MB (PC2-5300, 333-MHz, DDR2), how much is max? 4gb (2x2) or 8(4x4)?
2) Current CPU is Intel Pentium Dual Cpu T2310@ 1.46 GHz 533MZ socket P
Will these Cpu's work for my laptop?
Pentium Dual Core T2410 2 GHz 533MHz
Pentium Dual Core T4500 2,3 GHz 800MHz
or are there other cpu that are over 2GHz that will on work on my laptop?
