Hi,
I bought my daughter a Macbook Pro and this HP 3755 Deskjet printer. Her Macbook has a USB adapter. The dorm will not allow wireless printers or printers that generate there own WIFI so we need to run this connect via cable. We plugged it in but it is not working. Can someone point me to the correct download and procedure to run the printer locally like this?
Thanks,
Nathan

Hi Nathan,
What is the Mac OS X version on her compuiter? you may click the Apple icon and the About this mac to find this out.
Have you installed the printer drivers by vissiting http://123.hp.com and following the steps on screen?

Hi Shlomil,
It is a OS Sierra. As far as I know we have not downloaded the software. When we first set it up, we did visit that sight and set the printer up on WIFI but the campus IT has blocked that and they do not allow WIFI printers or printers that are generating their own WIFI. We are wanting to run this connected VIA USB.
THanks,

Hi TXnathan,
Yes, it is fine. You can follow the recommendation from Shlomil to visit https://123.hp.com/us/en/. Although it tries to look for Wifi, you can opt to select USB instead. Do try it out.

Hello,
Thank you for using the HP Forums
In order to resolve the issue, please visit the link given below and download and install the driver package for the HP Deskjet 3755.
After installing the above package, please visit the link given blow, please download and install the HP Easy Scan.
After downloading and installing both the packages, please click on the Apple Icon in the menu bar and then click on System Preferences. In the System Preferences window, please click on Printers and Scanners.
In the Printer and Scanners window, please click on the + sign and select the HP Deskjet 3755 from the list and then click on add. This will add the printer to the queue and the installation will be completed. You should be able to print and scan.
Thank you.

Nathan, I had the problem. Everything worked (scan, copy, no error messages) but it just wouldn't print. Days of working on this. The drivers were in and the system called the printer "Deskjet 3700 Series". I manually changed it to "Deskjet 3755 Series" and voila. Can't 'splain it, but it worked.
