6500a

So the other day I was able to scan documents from 6500a to Google Drive.  Today I turned on my 6500a printer to scan document and the Google Drive app is no longer available in the app list.  I looked into the HPCONNECTED web site and the PRINTABLES options is no longer available at all.  How can I fix this issue?  I do a lot of scanning from my printer to Google Drive and without this function this printer is useless.  I can't return this printer as it is 5 years old.  PLEASE HELP!

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand the scan and upload icon has disappeared from the google drive app.

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your PC or printer?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app from your printer and check if it helps.

Please try the steps recommended below.

If your printer does not have the Google Drive app on the printer control panel, you can enable the Google Drive app from the HP Connected website.
   NOTE:
The availability of the Google Drive app varies by printer model and country/region.
From your printer control panel, make sure that Web Services has been enabled.
If you have not yet enabled Web Services on your printer, go to Getting Started with ePrint.
   NOTE:
Web Services must be enabled on your printer to use the Google Drive app. If Web Services is disabled, the Google Drive app does not work.
Go to HP Connected, then either sign up for a new account or sign in to your existing account.
Click the Services tab, then click Printables.
Next to My Printables on, click the down arrow to select your printer from the drop-down list.
If your printer is not listed, click the Add a Device tab, then follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer to your HP Connected account.
Scroll to Search Printables, type Google Drive in the search box, then press Enter.
From the list of search results, click the Drive app icon, then click Add to My Printables.

Hope this helps!
