but, the printer can not connect to the server although the settings say its connected wired.
now trying to set the manual IP address, mask, and gateway; but it will not suggest a manual IP address?

@partsmore, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Restart the wireless router, the printer, and the computer/mobile devices.
Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Cannot Connect to Web Services
Follow these steps to assign a static/manual IP address to the printer:
- Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address.
- Type the IP address at the top of your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
- If you get any security notification, click on show details/advanced and 'proceed to this website'.
- Go to "Network" tab - General - Select "Network protocols" - Select "Enable IPv4 only" (or similar) - Apply the settings.
- Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)
- Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.
- Click on the radio button which says “Manual DNS Server” and under manual preferred type 8.8.8.8 and under manual alternate type 8.8.4.4 (This is Google DNS server address)

Thank you, I've tried rebooting the computer, router, modem and printer, numerous times. This has worked to the same email address for 10 years. Now, not at all, except I get the email report that the eprint was successful. The dashboard and printer both show the eprint is activated. When I try to have the printer connect to see if there are updates, it says unable to connect to the router. The printer is connected to the router with a new cable, and set to wired, and works fine from pc, or prints from the phone if I am connected to the router/ modem on phone. I need hpeprint.com to work badly. I have 20+ cartridges and hate to get a new printer because this one works great. the IP settings have all been set up on the PC dashboard. and match the printer. Is there ever a way for you to log in and see what is happening? The PC has been scanned, cleaned, there are no firewalls in this area that have changed. IPv4 is set up and manual settings have been installed.
The internet support team has been connected in my PC for 10-12 hours, and they have come out and claim router/modem is working properly. I need help asap.
