My agency is moving to the OfficeJet 200 Mobile printers as our 100 Mobile printers fail.  The 200 has a completely different AC connector than the 100, so I need an AC car adapter that fits.  No information on the HP site, so does anyone have a suggestion?  Thanks!

Hi,

I'm using a similar to the following adapter

   http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/SCA-12V-150W-Modified-Sine-Wave-Inverter/156466

We use 240V but you should be able to find suitable voltage in your country.

Regards.

Thanks for answering!

I was trying to not go the inverter route.  This is what we're using with the OfficeJet 100 Mobile printers:

I was hoping there'd be somethig similar for the 200.

Hi,

The reason I go to the inverter route: I only have to cary one in my car which allows me to charge my laptops, batteries for my cameras and video camera and don't worry when I change my gears. Mine is actually a 300W.

Regards.

Hello RickA57,

You could charge with an inverter, but you could also try using a USB cable to charge the printer.

The only down side is that while charging using USB cable, the printer cant be ON. It has to be OFF.

Steps:

1. Shut down the printer

2. Use a standard USB cable (http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/v7-usb-20-cable---6ft)

3. Insert this cable to your printer and plug in the other end in the USB car charger

4. You can get a USB car charger that has capability to charge devices, see link for reference http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-elitepad-12w-usb-auto-adapter

5. The charging LED should turn ON (Orange) when the printer is charging.

6. Once the battery is fully charged, the LED will turn OFF.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
Ashu
