HP DeskJet 3755 All-in-One Printer

After purchasing my new IPad, the printer worked as it always had for a couple of weeks. But now after the latest IPad overnight update, the printer is asking for my printer password, which it’s never needed before.  I put in password but it said that’s it’s incorrect.  I was able to change to a new one but the printer still does not accept it.  I’ve been working on this for two solid days (with no help from the on-line chat-twice.). I’d like to remove the password altogether since I am the only one using both the IPad and the Desk Jet 3700 all in one.  I’d appreciate any help.  Thanks

Is the printer connected to the modem/router?

Possibly you are using Wi-Fi direct directly to the printer.

Please configure your 3755 directly to the modem.  I recommend a different SSID (name) for the 2.4 and 5ghz band.  Your new iPad may be using 5 instead or 2.4 or vice-versa.  If you need help with this let me know.  If you are familar with changing the modem setup then be sure to select a fixed IP address for the printer.  That way it will get the same IP address when it wakes up from sleep..  Alternately do not let the printer sleep.

You may need to reset the printer. It will stay in setup mode for 2 hours as I recall

If no smartphone the WPS pushbutton method is described on page 56 of the users manual.  This might be easier.
