Officejet Pro 8715
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have recently changed printer from a 8620 Officejet Pro to a 8715. With the former, I never had an issue with printing from my iphone/pad but I can't connect to the new printer. Looking on forums, this doesn't appear to be unique. Any bright ideas as to why I can't print and how to fix. I did try an app (Printer Pro) which worked perfectly but, it seems to me that I should be able to print without buying a special app.

Hi,

Please be sure to enable AirPrint for the printer as following:

Swipe your finger from the top of the screen to its bottom, then tap the WiFi icon and locate the printer IP address.

from your iOS device open Safari and type the IP to access the printer homepage.

Click the Settings tab at the top of the page.

Click Security, and then click Administrator Settings

Under Network Settings, ensure Airpint function is checked.

Click Apply, restart the printer and try printing again.

Regards,

Shlomi

I just checked.  My AirPrint was already enabled. My phone/iPad still cannot find a nearby air printer.  I am able to print via WiFi from my desktop
