HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer

I've been printing pdf address labels from both my samsung galaxy and s7 tablet fine, until a few weeks ago. Now the labels are blurred, and the barcode isn't clear enough to read, so i have to use my Windows laptop.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled hp print service plug in, restarted both android devices, as per earlier posts elsewhere, and there is no improvement. Is this an issue with samsung 1UI? Is there anything else I should try?

Thanks...

Hi @Andrewpain,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've tried some key troubleshooting steps already. If your labels are blurred and barcodes aren't clear when printing from your Samsung devices, but print fine from your Windows laptop, it could be due to several factors. Here are a few more things you might try.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Ensure the printer settings on your Android devices are set to the highest quality. Sometimes, default settings might prioritize speed over quality.

Update HP Print Service Plugin:

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Print Service Plugin. Sometimes updates fix bugs related to printing issues.

Clear Cache and Data:

  • On your Samsung devices, go to Settings > Apps > HP Print Service Plugin > Storage, then clear the cache and data. Reconfigure the plugin afterward.

Check App Settings:

  • If you're printing from a specific app, check if there are any settings related to print quality or paper size that might be affecting the output.

Update Device Software:

  • Ensure your Samsung devices are running the latest version of their operating system. Sometimes updates to the OS can affect how apps interact with printers.

Try a Different App:

  • Try using a different app to print your PDF labels. Sometimes the issue might be with the app you're currently using.

Printer Firmware Update:

  • Check if there's a firmware update available for your HP ENVY 5530. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.

Reset Network Settings:

  • Try resetting the network settings on your Samsung devices. Go to Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings.

Hopefully, one of these steps helps resolve the issue with your label printing!

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

It sounds like you've already tried several steps to resolve the printing issue. While it could potentially be related to Samsung One UI, you might also want to try clearing the cache for the HP Print Service Plugin or using a different PDF app to see if that improves print quality. Additionally, checking for any updates to your Android devices or printer firmware could help. If you're looking for a reliable power supply for your setup, consider reading the Corsair RM850x review, as it’s a highly rated option for stable performance. Hopefully, these tips help with your printing problem!
