Hi @Jodiah,
Thank you for joining HP Forums.
This is a great place to get support, find answers
I understand that you wanted to uninstall the Jumpstart for more storage.
You can uninstall the jumpstart, at your own risk.
- On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8: Click Uninstall a Program.
- Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.
- When you find the program HP JumpStart Launch, click it, and then do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8: Click Uninstall.
- Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
- Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove HP JumpStart Launch.
Keep me posted, how it goes!
If the information I've provided was helpful.
Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck.

This didnt help me. Just says I dont have the permission to uninstall it. I dont have space for an update and the pc runs poorly.
Whoever designed this laptop should be deeply embarassed. Worst puchase in my entire life.
