My client's Samsung Galaxy S22 will not connect to his HP Laser Jet Pro printer MFP148. We have installed the plug in and app but it will not recognize his phone and they are on same wireless network. He can print from his desktop and tablet but his phone will not work with his printer.

I understand your client is experiencing difficulty printing from their Samsung Galaxy S22 to their HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148-M149 series printer despite being on the same wireless network and having installed the necessary plug-in and app, there are a few troubleshooting steps they can try:

 

  • Check Printer Connectivity: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to the same wireless network that the Samsung Galaxy S22 is connected to. Sometimes printers may inadvertently connect to a different network.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that the printer's firmware is up to date. Software and Drivers for HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148fdw
  • Restart Devices: Sometimes simply restarting both the printer and the Samsung Galaxy S22 can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off both devices, wait for a few seconds, and then turn them back on.

Thank you. I tried all of those things before but thank you for letting me know I was on the right track. It was an update issue on his phone. Once I updated the phone it worked.
