Hi, I have an issue with my printer, which I believe is because of a certificate error. I have this issue since I started using it.
On my mobile phone, I got a message in the HP Smart app saying: "A change in printer certificate was detected. Do you want to accept the new certificate? Accepting the new certificate is required for printer communication."
I press OK, and the message shows again in a loop. I press Cancel, the same happens, The message never goes away, and I can't use the app.
This happens on the iOS and Android apps and on all phones connected to the printer.
On the iPhones, I can't print through AirPrint. I press print and or it shows it's offline or nothing happens.
On Macs I can't configure the printer through secure AirPrint, it gives an error and says it can't configure the printer. It is only able to configure it through (unsecure) AirPrint (and sometimes not even that) or manually through IP address. The HP Smart app or Easy Start app can't even communicate with the printer on Macs.
All this was tested on multiple Macs and iPhones.
After these issues occurred I tried to access the EWS to check if there was something wrong with the AirPrint and also because I wanted to configure Google Cloud Print. I can access part of the website, but every time I try to access a settings page it asks to switch to HTTPS, and the connection fails. It shows "SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP" on Firefox, and it just doesn't connect on other browsers.
This also was tested on multiple computers and browsers (Edge, Safari, Firefox, Chrome on Mac and Windows).
I have reset the printer using a key combination. I have checked the router and disabled the firewall to ensure connectivity. I have rebooted everything just to make sure it wasn't a one occasion thing. My router is brand new, so is my computer and I keep the other devices updated and running smoothly, so I suspect it is definitely the printer that has some sort of certificate error.
I have contacted HP Support through WhatsApp and after a long and frustrating day of trials and even remote sessions they were not able to fix my issue. They just managed to configure the printer manually on macs, and that was it.
Could someone please help me with this as the printer is brand new but the time for returning it has passed, and I need it to work properly or at least to service it or something because its a house printer and most of the people can't use it properly (they have to access my windows pc or use the ePrint service or ask me to configure it manually on their macs).
Thanks in advance.

No, I ended up returning the printer. The support teams don't know or can't resolve the issue. I recommend you to send the printer to repair if it's still in warranty.

lol, as i expected, it is very dissapointing because hp not developed this system without any methods of mitigation to emergency reset the ews, like adding the emergency function button to reflash the memory of printer
