Hi Jsil,

Thank you for your post in HP forums!

The below specifications say : Note: many other media sizes are supported. Anything from 76.2 x 127 to 215.9 x 355.6 mm

Letter size is 215.9 by 279.4 mm so it may have to be entered as a custom size as is not in the options directly.

I took the specifications from Amazon for the: HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3777 All-in-One Printer(T8W40B)

Hi Jsil,

When using HP AiO Remote app on Android phone, if you want to change the paper size, you need to change the paper size from Printer front panel.

  •  If your printer supports multiple tray, you can chagne the paper size as below.

Go to Setup-> Paper setup. Then select Letter size.

  • If your printer only has one tray, you can open the tray, load the target paper, then select target size after close the tray.

Other than the method mentioned above, you can also intall a plugn in called "HP Print Service Plugin" on your phone. This pulgin in will allow you to select paper size from AiO Remote app itself.

Let me know if it works.

Hi,

Not sure if your issue is resolved?

It is posible that certain printer will default the paper type to the region/Country..A4 or Letter.

Specificly on an Android Device.

1. Download the "HP Smart" App.

2. Go into the App.

3. Go to the "Print Documents" section.

4. Check off a document that you want to print (Any Document is okay this is just to get to the next step).

5. Click the Printer icon at the top of the screen.

6. Click the Three dots at the top right of the screen.

7. Settings.

8. Paper.

9. Uncheck the "Automaticly Detect Paper"  Option.

Now it should allow you to chose whichever tray you want when printing...
