Dear Community,
We are about to go crazy as we can't seem to connect our printer to our network or otherwise print wirelessly with it.
We downloaded HP Easy Start but it can't locate the printer. The Wifi button is blinking blue on our printer and I can see there is a printer network named HP-Print-0F-Deskjet 2540 series which the printer has created. In the manual it says the network name should start with HP Setup, which it obviously doesn't. This printer doesn't have a proper screen, only a tiny display showing a large 0 and a small wireless sign with a little exclamation mark next to it.
The printer is simply plugged into the electricity socket, but not connected via usb or ethernet, just like it says in the manual.
What am I doing wrong? and how can I connect it to our wifi network?
Thank you so much for your help!!
Best regards
Sabrina

A warm welcome to HP forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
I believe we can use HP Easy start application and auto wireless connect feature to connect the printer to your home wireless network. Let's try these steps:
1.) On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button
at the same time for 5 seconds. (This steps will restore default wireless settings on the printer and enable Auto Wireless connect. Immediately continue to the next step to install the software. You have approximately 120 minutes to complete the software setup using the HP auto wireless connect feature.)
2.) Download and run HP Easy start from here.
3.) Follow the onscreen instructions to connect the printer to your home wireless network.
Let me know how it goes!
