I am not given the option to directly download the PDFs I scan from the HP Smart app. I am only given the options to either send the PDFs, or save them to HP Files which also does not allow me to download the files. Rather, I have to either send them or download them to Apple Books in order to download it from the new folder. Is there a way to simply download the files to my documents on my computer?

I see that you are facing connectivity issues with HP Printer.

 

I suggest you reinstall the driver and connect the printer to check if that fixes the issue.

 

You can follow the steps under this link to uninstall.

 

Furthermore, you can reinstall using HP Smart App from this link.
