@BobW248, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Printer WiFi Connection Issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you're experiencing difficulties connecting your HP printer to WiFi using an iPhone or MacBook Air, consider trying the following steps:

Check Network and Printer Connection

Ensure WiFi is Active: Confirm that WiFi is active on your device and printer. Verify there is a check mark next to your local WiFi network name on your Apple device. Restart the printer and check the connection status on the printer's display or indicator lights.

Move Printer Closer to Router: Position the printer within the range of the WiFi router signal to ensure a strong connection.

Set Up Wireless Connection

  1. Wireless Setup Wizard or WPS:
    • Printers with Touchscreen: Access the Setup, Network, or Wireless Settings menu on the printer's control panel. Select Wireless Setup Wizard, then follow prompts to connect the printer.
    • Printers without Touchscreen: Press and hold the WiFi button on the printer and WPS button on your router to start the connection process.

Check Wireless Settings

  1. Ensure AirPrint is Enabled: Verify that AirPrint is turned on in the printer's network settings. You can access these settings using the HP Smart app or the Printer Embedded Web Server (EWS) by entering the printer's IP address.

Restart Devices and Check Internet Connection

  1. Restart Printer and Devices: Sometimes, simply restarting the printer, router, and your Apple device can resolve connectivity issues.
  2. Network Quality: Make sure your WiFi signal is stable. If necessary, restart your router by unplugging its power cord, waiting for 15 seconds, and plugging it back in.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
