HP Officejet 6100 ePrinter - H611a

My printer (HP Officejet 6100) has disconnected from my wireless network and I can't seem to reconnect it. I'm not sure exactly when this occurred, but it might have been when I updated my wireless router to an Asus ZenWiFi XT9. It is possible that the printer is too old to connect to this rounter which has wifi6 technology. I had some old wifi dongles that also did not seem to be able to connect to it. When I do the printer setup up with HP Printer Assistant (I can't see which version it is), I got through the "convert a USB connected printer to wireless".  I select "Yes, access the computer or router". It finds my SSID and I enter the password. It then says "Your printer failed to join the wireless network. Issue: MAC address filtering may be enabled on your wireless router". I had not set up MAC address filtering and have not added the MAC address for any other wireless device to this router. Is this printer just too old to work with this router?
