Product: HP Spectre x360 - 13-aw0115na

Hi, I understand from an HP representative that video signals cannot be transmitted from the USB Type-C port. I bought a type-c usb adapter to vga to connect the monitor to my HP spectre laptop, it doesn't work because apparently my usb-c ports can't transmit video signals. But my question is: If I buy a new adapter like this but instead of a usb type-c plug it would have a usb plug, would it work?

Thank you for posting back. 

 

HP does not recommend to use adapters as they are not tested by HP and may not be accurate. 
However, you could change the configuration at your own discretion.
