Cannot print from mobile, connected to wifi

Hi all

So I'm trying to print from my mobile device iPhone 6s....the app keeps saying I have to add printer (I tired to select previously used printers since it worked before but its not coming up). When I try to connect to the printer in my wifi settings its asking for a password...ive tried typing in my wifi password but that didn't work and I have no idea what this password could be???

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the  "Cannot print from iphone" issue.

If you're going to wifi options and connecting to the printer directly, that method is called Wi-Fi direct.

The default password is 12345678, Touch the Wi-Fi Direct icon   under settings  you can turn on Wi-Fi Direct, turn off Wi-Fi Direct, and it will display the Wi-Fi Direct name and password.

Wi-Fi direct is a method that connects your printer directly to your phone or computer using default or an assigned password, the drawback of this type of connection is that you will not be able to access the internet and print at the same time.
