Hi @MartyMay,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you’re having trouble connecting your iPhone 14 to your HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-in-One printer, here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:
- Check Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure that both your iPhone and the printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If either device is on a different network, they won’t be able to communicate.
- Restart Devices: Power off your printer, iPhone, and your Wi-Fi router. Wait for a minute, then turn them back on. This can help resolve temporary connectivity issues.
- Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Update iOS and HP Smart App: Ensure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS. Also, update the HP Smart app to the latest version from the App Store.
- Reinstall HP Smart App: Sometimes reinstalling the app can resolve connectivity issues. Delete the HP Smart app from your iPhone and reinstall it from the App Store.
- Check Printer Status: Ensure your printer is not displaying any error messages or warning lights. If there are any issues, resolve them first.
- Reset Printer Network Settings: On the printer, go to the network settings and reset them. Then, reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
- AirPrint Settings: Verify that AirPrint is enabled on your printer. This feature is necessary for printing from iOS devices.
- Try Printing from Another App: Try printing from a different app on your iPhone to determine if the issue is specific to a particular app or a general problem.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
