I cannot print from iphone 14 usinghp app to hp laserjet m252dw.  Error message 693

1. Check Wi-Fi Connection

  • Ensure both your iPhone 14 and HP LaserJet M252dw printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If they are on different networks (e.g., the iPhone on cellular or a different Wi-Fi network), the printer won't be discoverable.

2. Restart Devices

  • Restart the printer: Turn it off, wait 10-15 seconds, and turn it back on.
  • Restart your iPhone: Sometimes simply restarting your phone can resolve network-related issues.
  • Restart your router: If other devices also have trouble connecting to the printer, restarting your router might help resolve any network issues.

3. Update the HP Smart App

  • Ensure that you are using the latest version of the HP Smart app. Go to the App Store on your iPhone and check for updates. Outdated apps may cause compatibility issues.

4. Reinstall HP Smart App

  • If updating doesn't help, try uninstalling the HP Smart app and reinstalling it. This can clear any corrupted files or settings that might be causing the issue.

5. Check Printer Settings

  • Enable Wi-Fi Direct (if applicable): Make sure your printer has Wi-Fi Direct enabled if you’re not connecting over the same Wi-Fi network. This allows direct communication between your phone and printer without the need for a router. You can usually enable this through the printer’s control panel or via the HP Smart app.
  • Check IP address: Make sure that the printer's IP address is correctly configured and it can communicate with the phone over the network. You can find the printer's IP address by printing a network configuration page from the printer’s menu.

6. Check for Printer Firmware Updates Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Sometimes, an outdated printer firmware can cause connectivity issues. Check for firmware updates on the printer’s control panel or through the HP Smart app.

7. Printer is Offline HP printer is offline or unavailable

  • The printer might be in an offline state. On your iPhone, check the printer status in the HP Smart app. If it's listed as offline, try re-adding the printer:
