Cartridge must be replaced

Cartridge must be replaced, tried three genuine black  XL ,and one not XL, tried resetting by unplugging lead while switched on and waiting, even overnight, also removing power pack for several hours, and making sure no excess build-up under cartridge, all to no avail.and cleaned contacts as directed
