I changed to a new router, named the SSID the same as the old one, but my printer won't connect. Any thoughts?

Hi,

May you have your old router still plugged to the power? a duplicate ID may cause a such.

If it is may still connected please unplug your old router (otherwise skip this steps), then try following these steps:

  • On the printer control panel, touch the Wireless icon (). The Wireless Summary screen displays.
  • Touch the Settings icon (), and then touch Restore Network Settings and confirm any prompt.

Next, follow steps 1 and 2 below to connect the printer to your new router and check:

Please let me know how it goes,

Shlomi

No, the old router was no longer plugged in. My printer sees the network SSID, but when I type in the password, it tries to connect and can't. I print the wireless network test results, and it says MAC address filtering is the likely cause, but I've tried adding the MAC address as a permitted device, but still no go.
