@Carmen106, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Let's troubleshoot the issue of your iPhone not connecting to your HP printer. Here are some steps to help you get printing again:

Check Printer Compatibility

Make sure your HP printer supports AirPrint, which is required for printing directly from an iPhone without installing extra apps.

Ensure Both Devices Are on the Same Wi-Fi Network

  • Your iPhone and the HP printer must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Avoid using guest networks or mobile hotspots.

Restart Devices

  • Restart your iPhone, printer, and Wi-Fi router.
  • This often resolves temporary connectivity issues.

Check Printer Status

  • Make sure the printer is turned on, has paper, and is not showing any error messages.
  • On the printer screen, go to Network Settings and confirm it’s connected to Wi-Fi.

Try Printing Again

  • Open the document or photo on your iPhone.
  • Tap the Share icon → Print → Select your printer.
  • If your printer doesn’t appear, tap Select Printer and wait for it to show up.

Use the HP Smart App (Optional)

If AirPrint isn’t working, download the HP Smart app from the App Store:

  • Open the app and follow the steps to add your printer.
  • You can print, scan, and manage settings from the app.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
