Hi all,
I am a university student and I am finding it impossible to connect my printer to the eduroam network. Would someone please be able to tell me if they have managed to and how?
I bought an Ethernet cable and that hasn’t worked.
Thank you!

@Hamlet13
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Are you getting any error message or code while connecting to your network?
- Have you tried other mobile devices on the eduroam network?
Note: Guest or public networks (such as networks found in apartments, coffee shops, schools, or hotels) have additional security features that can prevent printing.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi,
Thank you!
The message that comes up is ‘unable to connect to the network. This network uses an unsupported type of authentication or encryption.’
And yes, I have managed to connect all 3 laptops, my phone and IPad to the network without any issues!
Its my uni WiFi though so surely other students have managed to connect in the past!
Thank you

Your printer supports only the 2.4ghz connection speed, hence you'll need to ensure the router in use is also on 2.4ghz (Support), you could change the router to channel 11 after you restore the network to defaults using the below steps:
1. From the Home screen, touch (Wireless) and then touch ( Settings ).
2. Touch Restore Network Settings, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
3. Print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset.
- The network will need to be reconfigured afterwards. Then the user name will be admin and the password is left blank.
If the issue persists, reply back for further assistance.
