Hi, I have a hp envy 5055 wireless printer.
i have set it up successfully to print with my iOS devices wirelessly
i also want to connect my older pc to the printer using a usb cable.
I have tried this and think I may have messed it up. Now there are 2 of my 1 printer shown on hp smart.
one of them says “ready” and there is a check mark. The other says “printer status unknown”
should I delete one of these? How should I do that?
How do I set up usb connection from pc to printer?
any help is appreciated

There are 2 logical printers for 1 physical printer in this case. Because printer is physically connected to another computer using USB therefore you can't use wifi direct that why you have an unknown status.
Please leave them like that, one day you may remove USB connection and you won't need to go all the process again.
Regards.
