Desk jet 2710e

Hello I have just set up my desk jet 2710e after a while in storage after experiencing the same problem when first bought where the printer isn't taking the ink from the cartridges.  I can see a build up on ink on the cartridges themselves but nothing on the pages. These are the starter inks I received with the printer and I had the same problem when I bought it hence why I haven't used it in a while

Hi @Pyper1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are facing an issue with your Printer.

SETUP ink cartridges are used only to set up a new HP printer or printhead and supply ink for the first series of your print jobs. They are specially designed to initialize a printer and calibrate ink levels.

Kindly refer to the steps on this link and let me know if that fixes the issue.

Also, update the printer firmware by clicking on this link.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a great day ahead!
