@NicheTO, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

To assist you better, what model printer are you using?

Are you using a Deskjet 3630 or an Officejet 3630 printer?

Refer to this document to know how to find the Product Name or Product Number.

Keep me posted.

I have had a HP3630 for years on a wireless network with an Acer Laptop. I have never had a problem with manual double sided printing.

I have just connected it to a new HP laptop and the double sided facility has disappeared. I can still print ds on my old Acer laptop.

I also have a HP2540 printer presenting the same problem. I went through the update routine and it will now print double sided, although it has other issues, like it says it is out of paper, when it is not.

Repeating this procedure with the 3630, however, has no effect. It says it is all working well and there are no available or necessary new printer drivers. But it still does not admit to having a double sided capability. It is definitely not a case of it being available and me not choosing it.

@Johna12

Are you referring to an HP DeskJet 3630 All-in-One Printer? This model printer only supports manual duplexing.

Kindly refer to - How to Print on Both Sides of the Paper (Windows) (Duplexing)

If duplex printing no longer works after a Windows 10 upgrade, use the HP Smart app to print the document.

Home screen of the HP Smart app on Windows 10

  1. Search the Windows Store for HP Smart to locate and install the app.

  2. On the app home screen, click Print, and then click Print Document to find the document you want to print.

    NOTE:

HP Smart currently prints PDF files only. If you want to print a Word or WordPad document, save it as a PDF file, and then repeat the previous step.

  3. Select your printer, click More settings, and then select an option from the Duplex printing menu.

  4. Click OK, and then click Print.

Let me know how it goes.
