HP ENVY 6032e All-in-One Printer

E6 error with all lights flashing. Tried all fixes (power and updated firmware) but still not working. Any other suggestions or is it bust?

I understand you are getting an E6 error on the HP ENVY 6032e typically indicates a hardware issue, often related to the printhead or paper feed mechanisms. Since you've already tried resetting the printer and updating the firmware, 

 

here are a few additional steps you can try:

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open the printer and carefully check for any paper jams or obstructions. Sometimes even a small piece of paper can cause issues.
  • Make sure the paper tray and input areas are free of debris.

Inspect the Printhead:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the printer to access the printhead. Remove the ink cartridges and inspect the printhead for any visible issues, such as obstructions or damage.
  • Reinstall the ink cartridges and make sure they’re seated correctly.

Reset the Printer:

  • With the printer unplugged, wait for about a minute.
  • Plug the printer back in and power it on.

Clean the Printhead Contacts:

  • If you’re comfortable doing so, you can clean the printhead contacts with a lint-free cloth and a small amount of distilled water. Ensure everything is completely dry before reassembling.

Verify Ink Cartridges:

  • Check that the ink cartridges are genuine and properly installed. Sometimes non-genuine cartridges or improperly installed ones can cause issues.

Check for Firmware Issues: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Make sure the firmware update process was completed successfully. If the update was interrupted or failed, it might need to be reattempted.
