HP Color Laser Jet M234

Have  a problem to enable HP Web Service on a  HP Laser Jet M234. the printer is on a local network and is able to print when receives requests from the network. When going to its  EWS  to enable the services,  a message pops up showing "Enabling Web Service. Process may take several minutes". However it  has never finished and got connected.  HP Online account shows this printer disconnected from internet. Meanwhile, we have a HP Laser Jet M428 connected on the same local network and connected to HP Web Services without issue.  HP Support was consulted but the answers from them were not helpful. Any suggestions or experiences solving this problem are appreciated
