Chrome OS

I have used Envy 4520 and my chromebooks for several years.  Today nothing will print.  I have shutdown all systems including printer, router, Chromebook.  I have deleted and re-added the printer.  No error messages, just silence.  The printer is functioning as I have made copies today.  My wireless network supports 2 kindles, 2 chromebook and 1 android phone.  In the recent past I have printed form all devices.  The printer is listed in the print list on the settings menu,

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂

I understand that you have an HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer and it has stopped printing from your Chromebook. You have been fabulous to work with considering your superb technical skills and valuable patience. Kudos to you for that. You have done a remarkable job in troubleshooting this issue.

I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate and fix the issue:

  1. Turn on your printer.

  2. On your Windows or Mac computer, open Chrome.

  3. At the top right, click More Settings.

  4. At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.

  5. Under "Google Cloud Print," click Manage.

  6. If prompted, sign in with your Google Account.

  7. Select the printers you want to connect, and then click Add printer(s).

The printer is now associated with your Google Account and connected to Google Cloud Print.

You can print to this printer from any device where you're signed into your Google Account.

However, if the above doesn't work and/or the cloud printing is enabled on your printer and is compatible: Click here for steps on Setting Up and Printing on a Chrome OS.

Hours after I posted my query I tried everything once again.  Removing printer, adding printer, powering down all devices and restarting.  Printer is now working with my Chromebook OS.
