Envy 4520

I have a new ENvy 4520, which I got to print from my wireless IPAd directly after several frustrating days.  (Note, I do NOT have a router but operate off my IPAD and Iphone.).  the printer printed several documents tonight, and then stopped and won't print from my ipad anymore.  It wll print from itself (information sheets).  It says it is connected to a mobile device and my ipad recognizes the printer.  I turned off the printer several times, including disconnecting the power cord.  I also turn off the wireless of my ipad, then back on.  No help at all.  I checked the paper and ink status-- both look fine.   Any ideas on what went wrong? How do I find out why the light is blinking?

Hey @Laura62,

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I see you are facing an issue with wireless direct printing. Happy to help.

Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.

The blue light blinking on the printer indicates that the printer is not connected to any network.

Whenever wireless direct printing does not respond.

Turn off the printer and iPad.

Turn the printer On, wait for a minute and turn the iPad On. This should fix the issue automatically.

Also, check for updates on your iPad.

You can also use HP AIO Remote app to access the printer.

I think HP - do I really have to restart my whole network to print one page?! and even then its a matter of luck - dont always work. I use printer over network at home with my laptop - every time I take my laptop with me and brake the connection printer wont recognize it again - I have to actually connect it via USB to print (need an HP person to crawl under the table!)

In my opinion is just pure laziness of HP to fix the connecton problem.
