Hi @Gokul20 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're encountering issues enabling ePrint on your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw printer and it's prompting for a firmware update, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:
- Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to the internet. You may need to check the network settings on your printer to ensure it's connected to your Wi-Fi network.
- Check Printer's Firmware Version: Verify the current firmware version of your printer. You can usually find this information in the printer's settings menu. If there's a newer firmware version available, proceed with updating the firmware.
- Update Printer Firmware: Go to the HP support website and search for your printer model. Look for firmware updates available for your printer model. Download the latest firmware update and follow the instructions provided by HP to install it on your printer. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully to avoid any issues during the update process. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Restart Printer: After updating the firmware, restart your printer. This can sometimes help in resolving connectivity issues.
- Re-enable ePrint: Once the firmware update is complete and your printer has restarted, try to enable ePrint again. Go to the printer's control panel or web interface (using its IP address in a web browser) and navigate to the ePrint settings. Follow the on-screen instructions to enable ePrint.
- Check Firewall Settings: If you have a firewall enabled on your network, make sure it's not blocking the ePrint service. You may need to adjust the firewall settings to allow the printer to communicate with HP's ePrint servers.
