So, I've had my printer for a little while now and never set up eprint for my laptop. (also an HP product) I have printed wirelessly through my cell phone. So I go to set up ePrint and now I have a headache!!
I press the eprint button on the face of the printer and it tells me Server Connection Error.. So I go check my network and print a test report which says PASS on everything and Signal Quality reads Excellent..... I go to the wireless page on my printer it reads connected and gives me the I.P address for my internet. I tried to follow the steps given from HP to set up ePrint but I'm not setting things up for the first time and there is no email address assigned to it already and I do not have a claim code. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
Thank you,
Sabrina

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Photosmart 5510. I understand that you are getting " Server Connection Error" while setting up ePrint and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.
Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well.
Assign manual DNS on EWS page to fix this issue.
Follow the below steps:
- Get your printer's IP Address (Can find this under Network Configuration under Settings)
- Type the IP into your web browser to open EWS page.
- Click on IPV4 under WIRED or WIRELESS (however you are connected)
- Click Manual DNS
- Under preferred type 8.8.8.8
- Under alternate type 8.8.4.4
- Turn off your printer by pushing the power button.
- Wait 30 seconds. Power on.
Once this is done, Follow the steps mentioned in this article to setup the ePrint.
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers.
