Forgot password for my HP Officejet Pro 8600 EWS

I once setup a password for my HP Officejet Pro 8600 in EWS,  was working fine until I lost my Laptop and couldnt retrive my password. Now every time I try to access settings panel it asks for password I dont remember. I need help

I understand that you need assistance in resetting the password on your printer, is that right?

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own?

Are you able to print and copy fine?

Recommend you try restoring the network to defaults and check if it removes the password. 

1. Touch (right arrow), touch Setup, and then touch Network. Touch Restore Network Defaults, and then select Yes. A message appears stating that the network defaults have been restored.

Hi,

Here are the steps  to reset the EWS password for you printer.

Follow the steps:

1. Touch Setup, use right arrow to scroll unitll you see Tools and press ok

2. Use arrow keys to scroll to Restore Factory Defaults and press ok

This will clear the ews password.
