Hi
I am trying to print from Samsung s20 with the HP app to a hp desk jet 2710e. When I select the 6x4 or 10x15 size option the picture prints but doesn't fill the page and leaves a gap around the edges.
I am unable to take borderless option off as its greyed out.
Can anyone advise
Thank you
Kirsty

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
Unfortunately, that's the best the printer can do.
This printer does not support Borderless.
and
The printer requires a larger margin along the bottom.
That means that even when the margins are made even, the border will be 12.7mm (1/2 inch).
Print Margin Bottom (A4) | 12.7 mm |
Print Margin Left (A4) | 3 mm |
Print Margin Right (A4) | 3 mm |
Print Margin Top (A4) | 3 mm |

Hi,
Can you provide a solution for this then? If I'd like a 6x4 picture do I need to print to a larger size and cut down to fit?
If so do you know what size etc? I'm slightly annoyed as unless your clued up on these things you don't know until you come to use (like me) and I've brought specific photo paper etc for Xmas gifts
Thank you
Kirsty

No, sorry -- given what you are using, I cannot offer an actual solution.
I do not print from my little Samsung phone - I have done so, but I avoid it because I have other, better options.
HP Smart
If you can find a manual size option, you could try manipulating the print size on a larger piece of paper and then cut the printed photo around the edges. The problem with that is that "manual" sizing is just that -- it is difficult to get the size exactly the way you want it.
Reminder
HP Smart Mobile requires that you adjust / set the paper size & type before you open the content to be printed.
The example is provided to illustrate the manual print size option when / if it is available.

There might be a way to Scan > Import Image > Edit > Crop and force the size you want.
Whether this can be combined with a larger paper size is something I've not tested.
You might be able to find an Android print app that will talk to the printer and that includes an option to print the image at 4x6 inches on a larger piece of paper. ?
If you can get your hands on a Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC, I can provide a workaround using HP Smart or Photos (or other print software).
