Photosmart C4780
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I am attempting to connect my C4780 printer model to my new wifi network. I'll detail what I've tried:

1) Simple WPS connect using the touchscreen on printer and WPS button on router. WPS connection failed. I tried moving the printer closer, reseting Printer wireless settings.

2) Connect via USB to MacBook, and changing wifi settings through Printer Utility. Under Printer Utility, Wireless Settings does not appear in menu.

3) Updating driver, re-adding printer according to these instructions: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Archive-Read-Only/Wirless-Setup-does-not-appear-in-HP-Utility...

Wireless settings still do not appear in Print Utility menu. I've also run a test report from the printer and the wireless is and on and functioning. I also ran a network config from the printer and it is discovering my wireless network.

All help appreciated. I'm about to tear my hair out...

If your new wi-fi broadcast in 5GHz wireless only the printer can't connect to 5GHz wireless, only 2,4 GHz. The printer can see the 5GHz wireless but it can't connect to it.

My router has both 2G and 5G. My printer only recognizes 2G.
