I have just bought a 2620 and pulled the wrong tab off the set up ink corrupting it.  I bought a new colour cartridge and it won't work coz this is not set up.  Just tried the solution of pulling out power cable, but the error in the colour ink still is flashing.  What else can I do to bypass this set up cartridge.  The website gives no solution and for some reason you guys only want to private message.  Can someone please help. Thanks Jack

@JackMayo, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

The ink cartridges that go with the printers are setup ink cartridges that are designed to initialize the printer. Inserting a trade/regular ink cartridge may not work.

Unfortunately, there is no reset option for HP DeskJet 2620 printer. Since the Setup ink cartridge is damaged, Please contact our HP Support team for Service Options:

1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Select the appropriate option based on your preference.

6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
