I went to advanced settings on the network tab where I disabled redirection to HTTPS (regardless of whether that setting was disabled, I was able to connect to the printer) but after I changed the encryption strength from high to low for the website in HP EWS and since then I've been getting the ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH error for Chrome and it doesn't let me access HTTP, it redirects me to HTTPS so here we're talking about HSTS (HTTP STRICT TRANSPORT SECURITY). My question is how do I reset this printer (HP DeskJet 2620 series) to factory settings from the digital panel on the printer?

Hi @Viorel82,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I completely understand how frustrating it can be when you’re locked out of your printer’s settings after a small change, especially when HTTPS redirection prevents access. Let’s get your HP DeskJet 2620 series back to factory settings and resolve this issue.
- Can you confirm if you are still able to print or access any other printer settings, or is the issue only with HP Embedded Web Server (EWS)?
- Have you tried accessing the printer EWS using another browser or device?
- Is your printer currently connected to a Wi-Fi network, or is it in offline mode?
Let's try these steps.
Perform a Factory Reset from the Printer Panel (Hard Reset):
- Turn off the printer and disconnect it from the power source.
- Wait for 30 seconds, then plug the power cable back in.
- Press and hold the Cancel button (X) and the Wireless button (⚙ or Wi-Fi symbol) together for 5-10 seconds until the power light starts blinking.
- The printer will restart, and the factory settings will be restored.
Reconnect to the Wi-Fi Network:
- After resetting, reconnect the printer to the Wi-Fi network:
- Press and hold the Wireless button (Wi-Fi symbol) and Power button simultaneously for 3-5 seconds.
- Use HP Smart or WPS Push Button to reconnect your printer to the desired Wi-Fi network.
Clear Browser HSTS Cache:
Since your browser enforces HSTS (HTTP Strict Transport Security), you’ll need to clear it before accessing the EWS again.
- For Chrome:
- Open a new tab and go to chrome://net-internals/#hsts.
- Under "Delete domain security policies," type your printer’s IP address and click Delete.
- Restart the browser and try accessing the printer IP in HTTP mode.
Access EWS Using Another Browser or Device:
- Try accessing the Embedded Web Server from a different browser (e.g., Firefox, Edge) or device. Sometimes, browser-specific HSTS settings cause issues.
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor to Reconfigure Settings:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool on your computer.
- Allow it to detect the printer, and use the tool to reset the network settings and reconfigure your printer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

I tried, I turned off the printer, I unplugged it, after 30 seconds I plugged it back in, I press the Wireless button simultaneously with the cancel button and it does nothing, more precisely the power LED on the printer does not blink at all even after those 5-10 seconds that you told me about. Is there another method to factory reset the printer? I leave you an image so you can see the printer panel with screenshots, I also tried to connect through port 8080 and it does not want to. I mention that the redirection to HTTPS from the printer is disabled, the setting changed to redirection to HTTP and the encryption strength is set to low. I have inserted a video with proof.
