HP DESKJET 2600 All-in-One Printer Series
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Please help me troubleshoot. I got this error message:

HP Deskjet 2600 unexpected configuration problem 0x80070709. I cannot print through my laptop, though it says the printer is ready by wireless connection. I can print though my phone but not my laptop. I never had this problem before.

Just a background, I shift from Windows 10 S to Windows 10 weeks ago, and I changed my Internet provider.

@NeoRN Here's a list of steps you could make use of, to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Check the error

In addition to the alphanumeric code, look for an error message that describes the problem.

NOTE:

Not all alphanumeric codes begin with 0x; some begin with B or C.

  • If the message contains a description and an alphanumeric error code, the steps in this document do not apply. Search HP Customer Support for a troubleshooting document that matches the description you see.

Example of an error message with additional text that describes the problem

  • If the message contains only the error code, continue to the next step.

Step 2: Reset the printer

Reset the printer to recover from printer failures.

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

  2. Unplug the power cord from the power source.

  3. Wait 60 seconds.

  4. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.

    NOTE:

HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

If the error message persists, continue to the next step.

Step 3: Remove the ink cartridges, and reset the printer

Remove the ink cartridges and reset the printer.

  1. Remove the ink cartridges from the printer.

  2. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

  3. Unplug the power cord from the power source.

  4. Wait at least 60 seconds.

  5. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.

    NOTE:

HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

  6. Turn the printer on.

  7. Reinsert the ink cartridges, and then close the ink cartridge access door.

  8. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration or alignment page, do so.
