HP Deskjet 2700 - print via HP smart suddenly very small - can not change settings.
I had no issues before - it suddenly changed to a small print in the upper left corner
A4 is not listed in the settings
it mentions 5x7 inch
When I change it, I can only choose ISO A4, but when I choose it, same happens. And when I look again in the settings, all is set back to the 5x7 again.
Tried evrything.
More options: adjust o page. etc. - not working
What can I do else?

Hi @ErnstAmsterdam,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating printing issue on your HP Deskjet 2700. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the problem:
Step 1: Check Printer Settings
- Open HP Smart App: Launch the HP Smart app on your device.
- Select Your Printer: Click on your Deskjet 2700.
- Access Print Settings: When you go to print, check the settings.
- Ensure that the paper size is set to A4.
- Look for any options related to scaling or fit to page. Set it to Actual Size or Fit to Page.
Step 2: Check Document Settings
- Make sure that the document you are trying to print is set to A4 in your application (Word, PDF viewer, etc.).
- Check the print settings within the application you are using as well.
Step 3: Update or Reinstall HP Smart
- Update HP Smart: Check if there’s an update available for the HP Smart app.
- Reinstall the App: Uninstall the HP Smart app and reinstall it from the app store.
Step 4: Update Printer Drivers
- Go to HP’s Website: Visit the HP support site.
- Download Drivers: Search for your printer model and download the latest drivers.
Step 5: Reset Printing System (Mac Only)
If you're using a Mac, you can reset the printing system:
- Open System Preferences.
- Select Printers & Scanners.
- Right-click (or Control-click) on the printer list and select “Reset printing system.”
- Re-add the Printer: After resetting, re-add your Deskjet 2700.
Step 6: Test a Different Application
- Try printing from a different application to see if the problem persists. This will help determine if it's an app-specific issue.
Step 7: Perform a Printer Reset
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug it from the power source for about 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
