Our printer used to connect to all our Apple Laptops and iphones. We have 4 Apple laptops each a slightly different year and they all worked. We used to be able to print from our iphones 6 and 7 but I haven't been able to print from an iphone in months. Now every time we go to print it say it can't find the printer or sometimes it just says HP 4500 idle. Then I will turn off the printer and then turn the printer back on and then when the printer is coming back on 8 times out of 10 it will then print. If it doesn't I repeat the process and then it will evenutally print. This is happening with all our devices.

Hi,
For your mac laptops, please try the following - start by removing the printer and then re-adding it on your devices by opening the preferences tab and then selecting "printers & scanners".
From there, click the minus sign under the printer icon to remove the printer and then re-add it using the plus sign.
This often helps if you are experienceing printer offline issues regularly.
If you still can't find the printer, I would try the steps with the usb connected and if a wireless connection is established, then remove it.
If the issue persists, restart your mac and try again and if this doesn't help, then restart your router also.
