When I go to scan the printer states not connected to a computer and givers scanning software solutions for Mac and Windows. Researched HP, downloaded the app, tried the ip address in my chrome browser, came up against the unsafe message both on app and workbook - sorted them so web services now enabled - searched for scanner apps on chrome app store to enable scanner but cant find anything.
In summary can I scan documents wirelessly from my envy to a chroime workbook?
Thanks in adavance for any help 🙂

Hi,
You may scan from your printer to a Chromebook using Webscan.
Open the printer's IP from Google Chrome and be sure so enable Webscan first under Settings > Administrator Settings.
Next click th Scan tab and scan using the Webscan interface.
Note: If you see any security prompt click Advanced and select to continuy anyway.
You may follow below video which should be quite similar for your printer:
Click the Yes button to reply that the response was helpful or to say thanks.

Brilliant! Thank you so much.
It took me a while to understand that when I need to scan, it is necessary to use the Chromebook to type in the IP address in the address bar (and press Return) and then use the result to instruct the printer to scan. I had not understood the term: scan from a Chromebook as it sounded counter-intuitive. Perhaps that need clarifying by HP to help dimbos like me!
