Product: HP ENVY 5010 All-in-One Printer

Using my HP Envy 5000 printer has turned into a nightmare. My printer stays on, and is always connected to WiFi. But anytime I need to print something, from my Android phone or HP laptop, HP Smart insists the printer is not connected. 

 

I have tried: 

- Switching the printer off and on again, plus disconnecting the printer from the wall. 

- Disconnecting and reconnecting the printer to the Wi-Fi network. 

- Checking if the printer needs to be updated - it doesn't because it auto updates. 

- Switching my device (phone/laptop) off and on again. 

- Disconnecting and reconnecting my device to the Wi-Fi network. 

- Checking if HP Smart needs updated. 

- Hiding and trying to add the printer again. This usually works after the 4th or 5th attempt, but the printer routinely shows as 'online' in the printer list, but then HP Smart tells me the printer is not switched on. 

 

I am going through this process every time I need to print something, which obviously isn't great. Is there a more permanent fix?
